Lapland

Finland is one of the Nordic countries bordering in the north Norway, Sweden and Russia by land. Finland has a habitat of approx. 5,5 million with capital of Helsinki located at the south tip of the land. Finland is safe and modern country to visit. Finland has been chosen happiest country in the world for couple of times in a row now in the year 2024!

Lapland is the northern most region of Finland, it´s centre is Rovaniemi which latitude is arctic circle.
The region consists 1/3 of the country´s area and has only 180 000 residents - so the room is plenty! ​

Lappish people are easy going and friendly - first impression could be shy and introvert but that´s only half of the story...

You can find Rovaniemi and Lapland easily by plane, train or bus. Now Rovaniemi has over 20 straight European city flight connections. Trains are user friendly, especially in summertime, with low prices and reliability. Busses inside Finland might be extremely cheap when booked early.

Finland holds a concept of "every man´s rights" (jokamiehenoikeudet) in legislation which gives great freedom to roam in the nature - notice that responsibilities follow with higher freedom. Fishing permits wise country is seen as whole and separate; at the start there is national permit following a local permit.
Finland holds over 120 000 lakes which gives you the basic idea of various possibilities and locations to fish. ​

In case of emergency, you do not need to worry. Finland offers high quality medical attention, no matter where you might be located. Lapland´s main hospital is in Rovaniemi, where patients are taken to via helicopter from the wilderness if needed. In basic experience, the guides are familiar with first aid and this is usually enough to take care of accidental situations.
